Rapiscan Systems offers the only screening systems that enable operators to view three-dimensional (3D) images of scanned baggage and freight in real time. The Rapiscan 3DLP and the smaller Rapiscan 3DSP model present the screener with a 3D view of the bag that is more like everyday human vision, thereby limiting sensory demands and reducing operator fatigue. The Rapiscan 3DLP incorporates state-of-the-art technology to deliver high quality, high resolution X-ray images for the inspection of large parcels and small freight.

The system is configured with variable zoom, organic-inorganic material separation and Deep Focus software functions that make threat objects more apparent, particularly in a complex bag. The system comes standard with a number of features including the ability to “flip” images (moving objects from foreground to background and vice-versa), and the ability to toggle between 3D and 2D views. When operators view more intuitive 3D images, they can detect threat items that otherwise might not be found. When operated by an experienced screener, the system has excellent detection capability in high security applications.

The Rapiscan 3DLP was designed to improve the probability of detection while simultaneously reducing false alarms. The Rapsican 3DLP is the perfect solution for airports, postal facilities, secure government buildings and military checkpoints where the need for large parcel or small freight inspection exists.
